Nadine James (Founder)
I have always been passionate about helping others, so I entered nursing over 12 years ago. In 2019, I visited Ghana, igniting my passion for wanting to help again. While in Ghana, I saw many struggling families just needed help with their children to access basic needs for school since education is the key to success. After returning to the United States, I started helping three families I met. After seeing the impact of helping these families, it became apparent that, with the help of a community, we can do even more. I have always wanted to create a nonprofit organization to help people on a bigger scale, but due Covid my plan was delayed.Â
That is why I founded James Community Outreach (JCO). I want to build a community committed to helping invest in educational resources for less fortunate people. I can’t do it alone, so anyone with the same passion for helping support equity in education can support JCO in carrying out our mission to invest in these pupils’ success.
